Vibration Energy Harvester or VEH enables wireless monitoring of vehicles and infrastructure by harnessing vibrations from the environment to power sensors.
- This can used for traffic management and pollution monitoring
- Offering a maintenance free energy source, potential cost savings and “deploy and forget” systems
What it does
- Provides an alternative or supplementary energy source (to batteries) for wireless monitoring systems

- Alleviates and reduces the cost of maintaining batteries.
- Eliminates the ‘toxic’ presence of batteries in the environment

- System is manufactured utilizing FR-4 , which is inexpensive
- System has a broad frequency response allowing more energy to be harnessed from environmental vibrations.
