MEMS Ultrasonic Gesture Recognition
Non-contact gesture control can offer even more efficient and convenient operation of new-generation
entertainment systems. The idea is to realize a user-friendly and intuitive interface for intelligent devices.
Touchless user interfaces based on gesture recognition is an attractive user interface for a number of
intelligent devices in a variety of industries. The idea is that an array of ultrasonic proximity sensors can
track motion of an object, typically users hand or finger. The software of the detection algorithm can be
programmed so that certain gestures are interpreted as commands for the electronic device.
We offer MEMS ultrasonic transducers, either CMUT (capacitive) or PMUT (piezoelectric) to track motion of
hands or fingers. The offer includes the packaging of the MEMS + integration with electronics onto PCB +
software. The distance detection ranges in air from few cm up to 0,5 m.
