Wearable devices available in the consumer market deliver only a limited capability in delivering trustful physiological information and most of them provide indirect information only through activity monitoring. Although wireless pulse oximeter are available in a stand-alone form, they used cumbersome finger tip sensor. There is few or even no wristband with integrated reflectance spO2 sensor available. The proposed wearable device aims to monitor patients with chronic diseases (sleep and/or respiratory disorders…) where 24/7 monitoring is a must. It can also address “Quantify Yourself” applications by providing more reliable information.
The targeted demonstrator will aggregate at least 3 measurements in one wristband : photo-plethysmograms (delivers calibrated SpO2 level and HR), skin temperature, Posture / activity tracker. An associated Software will deliver the raw values from the sensors.
