Electroporation
MicroTIPS – EP is a microneedle-based system that uses Electroporation (EP) to introduce drugs in to cells.
Allows painless penetration of the skin
Applies a very high electric field within the underlying tissue to temporarily increase permeability of the cell (this is the EP process)
Allows specific chemicals or drugs to be introduced into the cell.
Increases efficacy of drug uptake within the cells.
